Moving to a New Home

Hi, we are going to be moving from the only home that our 3 year old RR has known and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to acclimate him to his new surroundings. The new place does not have a doggy door as our old place did...we are currently looking into getting a sliding glass doggy door...any thoughts??
