Thanks. I don't think we're out of the woods yet. He's been on antibiotics for 5 days now and although his disposition is much better and the excessive drinking has slowed down he won't eat his food. Perks right up when any food such as ground beef, steak, etc. is offered but won't touch his own. We've bought some other kibble including some wet food and he'll eat a little but not enough to sustain him. He is still drinking enough so dehydration is not happening. I know medication can cause lack of appetite and I guess the infection itself doesn't help but at this point we're thinking there might be something else going on. His weight loss is very visible.
Right now we'll just continue with trying to get him to eat and keep in contact with our vet.
