Max has been sick since about 8:00 last night. It started with diarreah (typical - no blood or mucus), and progressed to restlessness & salivation. He did settle down & go to sleep if I patted his back for him 
(spoiled dog, huh?), but he had to go out a couple of times. He was even too unsettled to sleep on our bed for long, which he considers a real treat.
Everything seemed normal this morning, with the exception of ongoing diarreah (largely undigested food, or something). He was ready to go for his walk, and was insulted that Cliff got to go & he didn't. He wanted to play a little, wanted breakfast and was very hurt that he didn't get any. But I was so glad that I didn't feed him when he had projectile vomiting not long after. Again - lots of mostly undigested food.
He doesn't seem to be uncomfortable this morning. He's maybe a little lethargic, but he followed the normal routine & seemed to want to eat / drink / be normal. He is drinking water.
Being the overprotective "mom" that I am, bloat is obviously my worry. He does occasionally eat something he shouldn't. But he doesn't seem to be in pain, and he can still burp, etc. I'm thinking of just observing & then trying some boiled chicken & rice this evening. Any advice?
One other thing: he had a malignant melanoma growth removed from his upper foreleg last month. The vet thinks he got it all, and the pathologist said it was the type that was unlikely to spread. Recovery was normal, and no other growths have been found. I think it's unlikely that the 2 are related. Any experience or insights?
