I know there is always different opinions on this, but I have heard you should not feed the leg bones of any large animal, as they can break teeth.
My dog loves raw beef ribs (with lots of meat). With the chewing and gnawing that goes on, it really gives their mind and jaws a workout, and a good teeth cleaning. She was taught she could only eat it if she kept it on a towel I would lay out for her, so she can eat it in the house in whatever room I am in - that way I can keep my eye on her while she's eating. She usually gets her rib in the evening while we are watching TV as her before bedtime snack.
