This has happened 3 times to Savannah. Every time has been after some sort of outdoor excursion, so I assume there is a creepy-crawly out there that her system can't tolerate.
We've treated with 72 hours of heavy duty benedryl ("heavy duty" depends on body weight). After the 3rd episode the vet gave us a supply of Prednisone, just in case. If it happens again we'll get an epi-pen in case the allergic reaction is intensifying.
