safe chewing material

Following up on the teeth/tartar discussion... What can I give Savannah that is relatively safe to chew, will clean her teeth, and most importantly that she will actually like. Most/all of the bones that I have tried at the pet store (An-Jan in San Jose), splinter so I don't feel comfortable leaving her with them. She doesn't like compressed rawhide. She LOVES bully sticks, but they amount to about $2/minute the way she goes through them. All suggestions welcome.
