Quick thanks to Alyssa and Jeff for such quick and insightful replies
You were both right, I took Kingston to the vets and they said it was likely a spider bite or sting of some sort. They gave him an injection of Benedryl (he's passed out now) and they simply recommended 3-4 25 mg tablets of Benedryl every 6 hours for the next two days.
Besides that fact that my beautiful dog's face now looks like that of a "Sharpei" and he's incredibly sleepy, he seems much better.
