I can't disagree with anything in your post.
The reason I said that the bites were minor was that Amber said in her original post that the bites were "not severe." I rightly or wrongly interpreted this to mean that skin wasn't broken.
Two of the bite victoms were children. I suspect that the so called bites were really nips, maybe even a little herding behavior going on. If a 2 YO Male RR intended a real bite and the victom was a child, it is hard to imagine that skin would not have been broken & that those bites could be classified as "not severe" by a concerned adult. Also, we do not have details as to the circumstances of the bites & whether or not they could have been play related nips.
Anyways, much is unknown to us by way of related facts, and as for myself, sans compelling evidence to the contrary I am in favor of second chances in whatever manner may be possible.
