Nala, my 2-1/2 year old RR, has developed some kind of condition where her fur is thinning in areas and the skin underneath looks dark and flaky. This is occuring on both sides of her body along her sides (about 3 inches down from her ridge). She's not scratching, biting, or licking it. Any idea what this can be from? Nothing has changed in her diet. She's eating Flint River (3 cups a day); One multivitamin, one Glucosomine; one Fish Oil. Her dog walker/trainer, said perhaps it might be a seasonal allergy? I wonder if there's some kind of home remedy we can try before taking her to the vet?
