Have you changed his food, given him any new treats, or has he had any vaccinations lately? Any recent medications- heartworm or flea/tick?

It sounds like this could be an allergic reaction, dogs suffering from allergies or having an allergic reaction often times show this through skin problems. They get itchy and will lick and chew their skin and feet. How are his ears? Are they reddened or is he scratching them or shaking his head alot?
