Jaycee broke out when she was young...about at eight months if I remember right. Hers were AWFUL and they got infected. She ended up doing an almost three week course of antibiotics. My other puppy did not get it, or my older male. She had a couple minor breakouts after that initial bad one, right around the time she would go into heat. Now her last heat cycle there were none.
My feed bowl habits changed then. I have never fed out of plastic, but now I only use stainless steel and all bowls are washed with hot water and soap after each meal.
