Great advice....thanks Alyssa. The Minnesota coordinator has been in touch. Today was the last straw at the temp home where he was staying. She's been really pushy about keeping him. I was polite about the issue, but blunt. And after I thought about it, I chose the breed over a friend. But, ethically and morally speaking, she is not a place where I would place one of my own puppies if I would ever decide to breed. I did offer to educate her and but she said it wasn't the breed that made her want to keep him, it was his personality. A Ridgeback is still a Ridgeback, and we all know our Ridgebacks
