My RR is 5 months old now. He was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection on Monday. He has since been on antibiotics, twice a day.
Just yesterday I noticed that the hair on his back in between his shoulder blades is thinning. I noticed because it looked a little dirty, but it was actually the color of his skin showing through. The hair in that area and all down his ridge seems to come out easily with a little pinch. The skin does not look overly dry or irritated, and I feed him a good food (nutro ultra), plus a daily vitamin from the breeder. He is not scratching the area or acting different in any other way.
What could this be? Should I be worried? Do puppies lose their puppy coat? What could this be? Could it be the antibiotic?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
