Alison,
ZOE will be 5 next month and the leaking problem started about 1.5 years ago (?). I run her in the woods from 0.5 to 3.0 miles daily and she does #1&2 just after she starts running at 16 to 20 mph (after everything gets shook up a little
). ZOE was spayed after her first heat; about 26 months old (heat at 22 months). I read that if spayed before the first heat, the immune system isn't fully developed, the body shape is slightly more rounded and will cause health problems later in life; also there was something about becoming incontinent later in life when the dog gets older. If that's true, then why is ZOE experiencing it at 4 years old??? or even experiencing it at all. I'm assuming calling this problem of incontinent is the correct term. If it stays like it is now, I, we, can live with it. ![]()
If you find out the cause, please let us know. jollyjim at flash dot net OH, she had a anal gland problem about 2 years ago, was expressed several times, and it seems to have cleared up now, but ZOE always likes having her butt scratched and rubbed around her tail 2 or 3+ times a day. This isn't the problem, but maybe a clue, I don't know, but it does concern the rear end.
