Hello,
I don't know how old either of your girls are, but my previous Rhodesian had incontinence problems starting at about 5 years. She was a rescue, and was likely spayed quite early which sometimes leads to spotting. We put her on very small amounts of medication, and increased it as she got older and needed more. My girl was very distressed about leak spots so we decided to medicate.
I don't know if this applies in your cases, just my experience.
