I do mix it myself. I usually get a small spray bottle maybe a pint or so(I get them at the pharmacy) and put about 1/4 inch of oil mixture in the bottom then fill up with water. The oils are kinda of pricey but I'd prefer that to some chemical any day for my baby. They are oils so you have to shake it every time when you go to spray.
It seems to work well for her and it doesn't smell icky like most bug repellants.
