They do get warts and they're not a big deal unless he starts messing around with it and gets it bleeding all over your sofa! Some vets like to remove them; some don't. It should go away on it's own, but it IS contagious! Caused by a virus called the canine papilloma virus. You can google that and learn all about it. It's not at all uncommon in puppies and young dogs.
