Anyone have ideas of transporting animals across the country??

I have two cats and one ridiculously large dog that I will be, most likely, in a Uhaul with. Yeah right, just picture that menagerie.

It's a 24 hour drive(straighthrough) and I would hate to keep them cooped up for so long even with stops.

I've thought about flying them but the dog is too big and would have to go carrier, I don't feel comfortable with that.

Anyone have any suggestions/ideas? It would be most appreciated. Thanks!
