My husband and I just bought our first house, and moved in this weekend. Overall, Lucy is doing pretty well, but is obviously a bit confused and anxious. Luckily, I am off work until Wednesday, so I am home with her while she adjusts to her new surroundings. I guess my only question is: is there anything else I can do to make her more comfortable? We unpacked her crate, toys, dishes, etc. first thing, and I've been taking her outside regularly, just like before. But new things are scaring her: the sound of the garage door opening sends her into an anxious pacing for about ten minutes. And come Wednesday, it'll be back into the usual routine - she'll be crated in the morning and again in the afternoon. Lucy will attend doggy day care once or twice a week to get in some good play and exercise time, but am I missing anything obvious to help her out? Thanks for the reassurances...
