Another dry skin question - ears

I've noticed C's ear tips are getting a lot more dry, a bit scaly, and a bit cracked. The rest of his skin does not appear to be dry, and his coat looks great. Just his ear tips.

Any of you have this problem? Do you all put anything special on ear tips, or just regular lotion?
