Hi Jane, I have not met you yet but Judy Neeley says she will bring me up there one of these days. I am a horse nut, hopelessly crazy about horses! I was raised with a couple of horses and then when I got out of high school, I sold my horse and didn't/couldn't get back into horses until 34 years later which was in 2002. I have a 25 year old gelding Sarahco, he's Egyptian Arabian, mostly Babson and I have a mare who is Polish,Sheba, Bask in her pedigree. I bred her last June to Mones Vision she'll be due in May.
Then bought Judy's yearling Ravenwood Monee's son and named him Prince Hershey Habib. I am working with him training him, etc. He is a wonderful boy, loves to be loved and is very smart so I have to stay on top of things with him.
The question I have is due you every loan out horses for say a spring, summer and fall. I wanted to ask so I could still ride this year. My friend Wendy rides Sarahco and with Sheba due in May I don't have a riding horse. Hershey can't be ridden until next year.
Please let me know your thoughts on this o.k. I basically would treat the horse as my own for this period of time, feed, worming, shoeing, etc. What do you think?
Thanks for your time.
