I just though all us horse lovers should know about this wonderful charity called Brooke Hospital for Animals (they have website www.thebrooke.org)! I went to Egypt for a vacation and came across this fantastic hospital where they provide FREE veterinary care for all of the poor working horses in Egypt. Some of the horses that I saw being treated were so emaciated I just broke down. I was so touched by the magic that the vets carried out, I was told that all of the vets provide education to the owners as well so that they learn to look after their horses properly. One owner was taught how to groom his mare, and clean her hooves!
