I LOVE your story. I am not sure about Charmer. Cassandra and I are not in touch any longer - long story - but not a good one. She was a wonderful old mare. I am SOOOOOOOOO very glad that he has a good home with you -- sounds like a super place to live. He is lucky as are your others. Email me sometime - I would like to keep in touch.
