billy- thank you so much for responding, but actually my message was from last august (08). i would encourage you to go to BARC or at least look them up online to see if they currently have any rat terriers needing adoption. it is an extremely high-kill facility... adopting from them is truly saving a life, potentially more than one (ie, the dog you adopt & the cage space it opens up- which hopefully will spare the life of another dog who won't have to be euthanized due to overcrowding.) i am so, so sorry to hear about your loss. i'm sure there's no words which can truly express the grief your family is experiencing. no one can replace the little girl you lost, but hopefully the love & gratitude of a rescued dog will help you heal.
