Hello my name is Angela Moody and I am a volunteer with Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue. I was hoping someone can help a me. Long story short. My aunt's mother in law has been hospitalized and can no longer care for herself or her dog. My aunt and uncle can not take the dog in for a number of reasons: they live in Chicago and my aunt is currently battling cancer. The dog is a miniature rat terrier named Spotty, he is 6 years old and is very sweet. He was being boarded here in Tampa at Pebble Creek Animal Hospital and was updated on shots while he was there, her uncle checked him in there. I was told that he would stay there until we found someone to take him. To my horror, my aunt's husband's uncle took him to Hillsborough County Animal Services on April 8. They have him listed as 9 years old but I was told he is 6 years old. I know it is hard for rescues to take older dogs in but I was hoping someone can save him from Animal Services.
