Hello,
My friend and her husband recently moved from North Carolina to New York. They had to put their two Rat Terriers in a boarding facility until they could get a place to live. They placed the two dogs (Gypsy and Blue) at the Town and Country Animal Care Center (website: http://www.tcanimalcare.com/ken_home.html ) Their number is 919-387-7833 – located in Apex, North Carolina.
The address is: 2010 N. Salem St., Apex, NC 27523
Since then, a month has passed, their bill is too large, they have separated, and she does not have the money to get her dogs. (Neither does her soon to be ex) The boarding facility has threatened to destroy the dogs and/or turn them over to a kill shelter. I cannot fathom how a place dedicated to boarding animals could make a threat to destroy two young, healthy dogs. Their ages are 5 years and 1 year of age.
Is there anything that can be done to save these poor dogs? Perhaps the boarding facility would be willing to work with a rescue organization? I would appreciate any help or advice, since they have only given her until Friday!
Thank you for your time,
Christine
