WELCOME TO THE Rat Terrier Rescue Board...thanks so much for stopping by!

Posted by Sherri We love the breed. We also were thinking our little girl would like a playmate for those times when Mom is too busy to play. Though I AM a stay at home mom, there are times I just don't have time to throw the ball one more time. Anyway, do you think we should really consider a second dog? Would we be asking too much to find one that is good with cats, kids, and our dog? We are hoping for an adult that is housebroken as well....maybe age one to six? And one that is smaller so it doesn't harm the cats or the dog we have now. Smaller poops are nicer for us to keep picked up in the yard. Open for suggestions and thoughts. Thank you for your time. We are thinking about getting a second dog in our home. We currently have a 1 1/2 year old female that weighs about nine pounds. We also have cats and a four and a half year old son. We have a fenced backyard in town. Our female is microchipped and spayed because we do NOT want puppies! We would want the same in a second dog...neutered or spayed and we would microchip him or her as well.
We also travel on weekends a lot. At those times my adult daughter is here to care for the animals, but it isn't the same for girl, Bitsy.![]()
