Posted by Colleen You can also help by listing rescues available on your web page. You can donate food or supplies. Dogs in shelters get put down on a regular basis. Some shelters are rescue friendly and let you take the dogs to put down instead of putting them down, some are not rescue friendly, and see rescuers as a threat to their job. What state are you in? Oh, there are many rescue lists you can apply to be on too. I HAVE A WONDERFUL RAT TERRIER, MALE, YOUNG, BRN/WHITE AND AWESOME LOOKING FOR THAT FOREVER HOME. He needs to be neutered, he has only one testicle. Would make an awesome playmate for children. Colle S.

There are many ways to help. Usually, you can help a local rescue which you can find on www.petfinder.com, click rescue on the top and then put in your zip code. Then email them and tell them you want to help. You can ask your vet, sometimes they save dogs that need fostering for a while. You could help me, would you like to give a rescued rat a home? lol
