That I would have asked for a few days trial. I am not always a betting woman, but somehow I think the damaged ones need another dog in their life.
Sometimes we love them so much we project our own fears and insecurities of the circumstance on them. Tough love is the hardest love and sometimes it means we have to look the other way and let them work it out.
Dogs live in the now. Yes past experiences shape them, but I don't believe they contemplate the events of the past as it relates to the present or the future.
