Written by the Pingels....
Following Bonnie's beautiful and touching funeral service, we joined
Bonnie's family and friends for lunch at her Mom's house (Helen is
such a strong and lovely woman). Kim and Veryl, Paul and Glenda, Mike
and Jo Trapp, Mike and Joanne Lima, Ann and Rick Harris, Rob Collins,
and Courtney Russell were also present today (hopefully, I didn't
forget or miss anyone...as there was quite a crowd).
Karyn, Aaron and I decided to head up to see Michael in the afternoon.
Although Mike was tired, he sparked up when we entered the
room. With a large amount of family in town, we kept our stay
relatively brief prior to giving way to some relatives. We spent some
more time with Ann and Rick before returning to see Mike again for
another short visit. It was great to see him and spend time with him.
While at the hospital, we took the opportunity to answer some of
Mike's questions and relay some news. Michael has been touched by the
outpouring of love from all of his and Bonnie's friends. When we told
Mike about the establishment and initial success of the "Turner Family
Relief Fund", he expressed his gratitude and stated that the
contributions would certainly be put to a good use.
Although the day was long and emotional, it was extremely heartwarming
to witness the outpouring of love at Bonnie's service and then have a
chance to spend time with Michael.
To all who have donated to the "Turner Family Relief Fund", THANK YOU
so much! Please know that you have played a role in helping the Turner
family recover from devastating tragedy.
Please continue to help Mike rebuild his life...
