How do i find out what motor belongs in my 442

I bought a 442 i used the system on this website to decode my vin number its a 1968 Olds 442 Club coupe post car. When I bought this car it had a Chevy 396 in it. I would like to put the original motor back in this car but I have notified that they made 350's,400's and 455's for that year. How would I find out what belongs in my car?
