Actually, I know more about what is left! Remaining records are at the GM History Center. There is not a lot known about what happened to the records and when they were pitched. But they simply were not kept. It's more a matter of who kept them, not who pitched them, because old records are routinely purged. It would have taken an extra effort to keep them as was done at Pontiac. It was up to the division as these were division records, not GM records. Cadillac has decent records. Olds and Chevy do not. Pontiac was fortunate to have a few people with enough foresight to keep the records; they were sent to PHS.
