o.k. here goes..I have a 67 cutlass with what i believe is a type O rearend.12bolts on cover and 10 bolts on ring gear.casting numbers on pumpkin read 393820 raised numbers.thats on passenger side.drivers side raised letters CFD in one area,and raised letters nearby DE. On the top big raised letter "M"(or W)about 1.5" square. axles are 28 spline.bolt in with sealed pressed on bearings.non-posi 3.08 ring gear reads 13A40 gmP334.also 12016 stamped on it.measures 55.5" from flange to flange.backing plates are off.carrier casting #156. with 8.5"ring gear.trying to find out what it is so i can find a posi carrier for this.if anyone can help me with this that would be cool.
