I have a question, or several. I have a 1967 442. I've owned it since 1989. Actually, here is some of the history.
1967 Olds Cutlass 2 Dr Coupe - Paid $1200
8 Cyl Auto
442 Option
Disc Brakes
Hardtop
Burgandy exterior
A/C
Power steering
Posi 12 bolt rear axle
46,000 on odometer when I bought it in 1989
I had the engine rebuilt
Boyfriend (at the time) hit a telephone pole
A little framework
Repaired body, got a new louvered hood - fresh paint in 91
Trans problems along with other minor problems
Moved out to the country
Car sat in garage - 5 years
Car sat in field - 6 years
A few mice, paint peeling, extra quarter panel
In need of front bumber - have old one
Have original radio, speakers, etc.
I've attached some pictures. Is it too far gone? I don't want a total restoration that's going to cost me tens of thousands of dollars. But, I love this car. Can I get it into the condition it once was? I want to drive it in the summer and store it in the winter. You know, a nice classic - not exactly show quality (unless of course I hit the lottery or something) Where would I start? Would you guys take me under your wing? I'm in Michigan.
