I don't know the exact weeks of the beginnig and end, but the beginning is probably in early Sept 1966, and the end late July 1967.
You VIN number puzzle is because I'm sure that the two cars are not the same model from the same plant. Like one is a Sports Coupe and the other a Holiday Coupe? Your 06A car, if a '67 model was definitely built in June '67.
There is no relationship between the engine unit number and the VIN.
There were 24,833 442s produced in '67, so the last engine unit number (started with V200001G) would be close to V224833. The VIV would be the sequential number for the *model* which in (in '67) including 442 and non-442 optioned cars of that model.
Yes there *is* a general relationship between the engine unit and when in the year it was made. Same with the VIN. Meaning that a car made late in the year will have a higher unit number than one made earlier in the year, of course.
