Not sure if you're interested. But a 350 trans may work out better for you. It has a lower 1st gear than the 400 and will work well with the 330 motor. I had a 66 Cutlass years back with a 330 motor and swapped the 2 speed for the 350 and man it hauled ass coming out of first when you manually shifted it.
