Type "o" posi unit

Does anyone have specs or instructions for assembling the posi clutch plates? It looks like some are friction plates and some are shims, I'm guessing the shims are to set the differential gear backlash or clearance? My friction plates are all metal with spiral groove patterns, are they supposed to have fiber material on them?
Any help is appreciated.
