Part of my digging has been Judaism because the church came out of Judaism, so in a sense is the parent of church practices. I used to wonder where the strict format of 2x2 meetings connected in that genealogy.
I wonn't go into great detail here in that regard, but to say that I have always looked for and listened to any Jewish Christian teacher more that any non-Jewish teacher. And there have been several in my life key to my Bible studies who have helped me understand even KJV English translation much better than most non-Jewish teachers - for example, David Hocking (who is of Jewish descent), who thas taught Hebrwe and Greek and pointed out quite a few poor translations of Hebrew or Greek that are in the KJV. Most recently, with global technology at common fingertips, I came across the ministry of Behold Israel's Amir Tsarfati, who has pointed out a great number of better English translations of especially Hebrew. So having found my roots in Judaism, believing Jews have been of great importance to me.
