And Greetings from Redbud, as well!
Today is Irene Harrison's birthday, and Monday, the 4th is Ron Johnson's, they are 2 of our youngest residents. On Tuesday the 5th, they are both going to Roger, Arkansas, for the convention there, and then Ron is going on to Clever, Missouri, for that convention before returning to Redbud.
Tomorrow some friends are coming to visit, and they will take Alfred Broady and Charlotte Johnson to York, Nebraska, for the convention there next week. Our supper cook, Janet, is taking a vacation next week, so it won't be so difficult to fill in for her, we will only have 5 residents here!
Mary Olsen had a very good trip to Alma, Michigan, and enjoyed her time there at the convention among so many old acquaintances, and from what I heard, they enjoyed seeing her again, also.
All the rest I have not mentioned yet are doing very well, Imal Hartsock, Anna Conners, Joy Widel, and Judy Williams. Judy's ability to speak has decreased, to the point that some cannot understand her, and even those of us who are with her every day have trouble sometimes.
Joy Widel is planning on going to Blackwater, Missouri, for the convention later this month, and hopes to have a week before to visit with relatives. Some of you would know that Blackwater is home for Joy, and her nephew, Bob, now lives on the grounds there.
Our recent bible study was in Daniel, and the last chapters led us into a study of the coming again of Christ. After several days, this morning (and tomorrow) we were in I Cor. 15. Next week will bring I Thess. 4, II Peter 3, and then some chapters in the Revelation before going on to another subject. It has been good to go over this again and get it firmly in our minds.
I struggle to find words to express our gratitude for being included in this great family, and for our place here at Redbud,,,and for your love and support, so I'll just say, "Thank You" again and hope that you know it is greatly appreciated.
Glenn and Shirley, Dan, Roy, and all the employees and residents.
