Dear friends and fellow workers
Thoughts go with you all as you would be moving towards special meetings...may you all experience very special times in the Presence of the Lord and also with each other.
Thank you again to those who have personally kept in touch so faithfully by e-mail, whats app and most of all by knee mail as one is conscious of the extra special help received from above on this convention round....without that, all would be in vain.
So this takes us to convention nr.9..!!!! We will be on the Saginaw grounds tomorrow dv...looking forward to seeing Wicks again and dear Linda Brist who was at some of our conventions this year.
Eddie and Cindy Ulshafer brought Robin Amos, Betty Peterson and myself from Olympia after supper last evening to Salem, in Oregon which is about an hour from Saginaw. They will kindly take us to Saginaw tomorrow dv. They then come back home to Salem and go again Wed with their trailer. There were about 700 at Olympia convention and about 1000 Sunday.
It was so good to spend some time with Carolyn too and also met two of her sisters .
So once again here are some precious things to share.
It doesn't matter where we are or where we have come from or where we are going to, the call of God remains the same.
Struggle is the path to victory and when we struggle it shows we are alive.Dead people can't struggle.
We don't want to ever miss this privilege available to us...time alone with God.
When we miss a meeting, we have missed out on THAT meeting and we will never get it back again.
If we want to know things we must make an effort to learn.
Wherever we are is a great opportunity.
If we prayed before every meeting, we would get a lot more out of it.
When we don't know what to do, just wait.
We can have the signal light on and still forget to change lanes,!!
I can't be dependent on what others do, to bring me joy.
We may find answers in the scriptures, but we need to find BREAD.
If we don't spend time with God in the morning we are telling Him we don't need Him for that day.
The decisions that seem oh so small
Often determine whether we stand or fall.
A little child's vision is very keen.
We have nothing to be proud of but we can have humility.
Pride is empty and exhausting.
Meekness has a ready obedience.. just touch reigns lightly on the horses neck and he turns. The horse doesn't have his own idea, he just turns.
"Love one another as I have loved you." Homework for the rest of our lives. If I don't love God I can't love others.
God is greater than anything that is not fair.
I don't need to do anything different, I need to do something better.
Quick hurried prayers are like fast food, it can keep us alive but doesn’t keep us healthy.
Life isn't about life. Life is about eternity.
Is my life healing and strengthening towards others.?
If the Holy Spirit is not guiding me today, then it is a wasted day.
It's what we DO with what we know that makes the difference. It's what the spirit has said to ME that makes the difference and that is what I am responsible for.
There's lots more to share, this is just a drop in the ocean, but if we can just do ONE of these things it's already a great thing.!!!
All of the very best for the special days ahead.
Greetings in Him
