Now, consider the obvious;
Usually workers become workers at the ripe old age of 16-20. And their education begins to moment they have 'sold all they have and given it to the poor' overseer. At that point, the brand new worker is faced with being beyond the point of return -- they usually do not possess a lot at 16-20, so they have not lost a lot if they just walk away.
But give a new worker a year, and it is not unusual that the yearling will need to 'go on rest.' I believe the things they finally learn that were so carefully covered up by the overseers brings many of them to the brink of break down. My meager observation (laity doesn't see much in 2x2ism) is that I only know of one yearling worker who went on rest who ever returned.
Now that one who went on rest was formerly legalistically honest - and I figure what the first year did was buck up against that lifestyle of honesty to the point of despair.
And the 'rest' in that case would be a very necessary time period for the distressed to rationalize away the things that caused such despair.
Now, concider this logic - a new worker manages to rationalize away long enough to now have no resume with which to get employment. Now the point of return has been locked in.
So by the time a worker becomes even a bottom rank overseer, not only is conscience dead through all the rationalized dishonesty for years on end, but that overseer could no more make a living for himself that fly to the moon.
And there you have cause to believe that no overseer has ever just walked away from 2x2ism. The few workers with years of experience as worker who have just walked away are hiding the probable fact that they had to accept menial and low paid employment and live basically 'on the street' to do so.
But this is a public board for any 2x2 worker or overseer who has just walked away from 2x2ism to fill in the details for the rest of us so that the above logical speculations become unnecessary to common 2x2s or ex2x2s - the ball is in the court of one who knows better than logic and speculation testify.
