All cults and isms (and even individual churches of the denominational kind) have the same tactic of re-defining common English words within the minds of their members. That way they can publicly speak to each other in front of others who are not members. Even speaking to completely Biblical Christians, if the listener is not a member of that specific church, and does not ask them what they mean by particular words they use, one will often walk away from such discussions thinking that the church member said something quite different from what the member actually said. The late Dr. Walter Martin of Kingdom of the Cults fame made this point in almost every public presentation he ever gave – “Define your terms.”
And in the book titled A Search For The Truth, the workers’ words exposed, a former 2x2 shows what he (as a 2x2) understood of common English words and phrases. And to illustrate the difference he gives his understanding of normal meaning applied to those same words within the Bible. He also quotes 2x2 preachers using such words in the manner he has stated as his 2x2 understanding of them where possible.
That book is already llinked in this thread on Google Books, where anyone can go read a substantial portion of it free of charge – and Google’s scans of its pages are not in graphics, they are somehow scanned as uncopyable text that is completely searchable using a search engine such as Chrome. In other words, if one would like to see what a 2x2 might mean by a word or phrase, one can type into search that word or phrase with Google Books included. If the word or words appear in that book on Google books, the search result should provide a link for that book to the page of it.
