If you have read any of my posts you will know where I stand on a range of topics, including the Trinity, deity of Christ, salvation by grace alone, works that accompany salvation (not to justify but to sanctify and grow as disciples), non-exclusivity etc.
I and others who have contributed on the Trinity side of the debate and who are exes have long since 'moved on' as you put it (me since 2000). I go to a Baptist church, and others go to to various evangelical churches.
So the issue is not whether we've moved on really, and 2x2 dogma has no hold over me.
As I said, I was surprised all the same to see the number of references that there were to at least a form of trinity/deity of Christ in old notes.
At best, some residue of orthodox belief may have persisted until mid-century, but not beyond.
It is an interesting fact in and of itself that John Wegter, based on conversations online with him, is a classic trinitarian. At least he claims to be. And non-exclusive too. No longer in the work though of course.
And I fail to see what purpose it serves for us to 'do a Brad' and beat each other up when we're basically on the same side of the debate here.
