Workers never tell their people, much less any non-2x2 in their so called “gospel meeting” what they believe the “gospel” is. And if asked even privately what they believe the “gospel” is, the reply will take the form of evasion – no reply in other words.
After many years one has to spend attending their “gospel meetings” in order to figure out what they believe the “gospel” is, by osmosis and the repeated focus of their messages on the necessity (to salvation) of “homeless preachers (only in pairs) and meetings in the home (rather than a church sactuary large enough to fit a congregation into)” is what they believe the “gospel” is. In a couple of historical records a couple of the early workers stated clearly that their “gospel” is “homeless preachers and meetings in homes.”
To flesh out the usual evasive replies to direct question on what the “gospel” is, the most common evasion is to provide the dictionary definition of the word “gospel” which is “good news.” And once one learns that the 2x2 “gospel” is homeless preachers and meetings in homes, there is an obvious problem with their inconsistency with that dictionary definition, “good news.” What is “good news” about homeless preachers who expect non-preaching 2x2s (the second tear 2x2s) to provide them with free board and room in their houses until those preachers die? Well, think about it – to people who do not work to earn a living, being provided with free room and board is really “good news.”
