If those 2x2 preachers hosting these so called Bible Talks told any truth in their ads, that would read, ‘Come hear a ministry that was founded in 1897 by William Irvine’ - and does not even resemble Matthew 10 – for example they do take a purse, they do go to the Gentiles (only), and they do not preach “The Kingdom is at hand” (for but three examples.
“Come hear about a way that can bring true peace and rest of heart.”
Again if the 2x2 preachers hosting these so called Bible Talks told any truth in their ads, that would need to say, ‘Come hear about a way that cannot bring true peace and rest of heart’ but rather internal strife memer against member preacher against preacher and an endless and ever changing set of rules that must be kept to remain in it.
“Come learn how you can have a living relationship with a living God.”
And again if the 2x2 preachers told any truth in their ad, that would need to say, ‘Come learn how you can have a relationship with those who think of themselves as copies of Jesus Christ’ (though no 2x2 has ever been crucified) It would also need to add “We don not believe that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh.”
But 2x2 preachers’ ads never tell you what you will get by attending their so called Bible Talks. They do not tell you that in a whole hour composed of two sermons, there might our Bible verses read, often inaccurately and grossly twisted to support their claims such as are in their ads.
“These talks are quiet and reverent, upholding the life and teachings of Jesus. They are free to all.”
Again, if 2x2 preachers told any truth in their ads that would need to say, ‘These talks are silent except for a few hymns sung by the attending common 2x2 majority and the sermons of the two preachers. And that last bit in their ad would need to say, ‘Pay nothing down, and everything you own once you are hooked into 2x2ism.’
