To begin with, I no longer profess, nor do I ever plan on professing again. However I love many who are professing and admire their devotion to the workers and fellowship. I just could not live that strict life style and I was basically living a lie. I heard for year that I had a beautiful spirit, but what I really had was a hidden lifestyle so I just "lost out."
I have family in that area and yes there are problems, but their overseer is in charge of that field and has been now for a few years.
My family was thick as mud with the "problem" family. Basically, the so called problem involves authority and living double lives. I saw that list, you know the one where the overseer hands out that has the listing of the friends, their address, and phone numbers. My wife and I noticed that some names have been moved to other meetings, but their address did not change. Some have left for good, some left for their own good, and some refuse to leave as it was told to us.
Lots of rumors are flying around as to what is going on, but just remember that no matter what you hear or have heard concerning that area there are wonderful friends in that area. It is just sad to see everyone so on edge when we return to the area.
