Hello my dear friend Mr. Dowdy.
As you know, I am not a member of the 2X2, by a conscious choice I made by checking them out first.
I can tell you this, that they made it perfectly clear that I would only be welcomed if I 'humble myself' and be 'submissive to the spirit of truth' (they define the 'truth' by what they have been taught and NOT what the Bible teaches.) that I can never do.
As for you being accused of being bitter, I too belonged to a 'cult' very similar to this one, and I too have family in that sect and many, many friends who I grew up with. So your last statement; "Certainly from my own perspective the cult influence is the single most negative factor upon my interfamilial relationships with the professing members of my family and I find that to be perhaps the saddest commentary of all with respect to this cult" is a shared feeling (that I could never have put so nicely as you have).
But why waste our precious time and words of love with those that reject the truth? Why not use these posts to invite all to come into the 'Ark' that has been started by other believers before us?
So how about starting a fellowship among us, especially for those who still feel the pain of separation from the family of believers (that we were taught that they were true to the scriptures), and whom we loved and miss dearly?
All of us who would rather 'die' then follow lies!
The time is nearing the END. I for one have heard the 'call' that the 'bridegroom is coming', so if you have too, come join me chisel into this 'rock foundation' and with the help of God, build our house on it.

This invitation is for you and everyone who is willing to join us. (NOT follow us, or some crazy scheme, but just join together and walk together admonishing, correcting, and teaching each other with what gift the Spirit has given each of us.)
We can start by e-mail, on the internet, and with prayer we can let the whole world know who we are and what we stand for. Just as Noah started to build the ark, was obvious to all the people of the world, our intention to follow the 'truth' will become obvious to all too.
We could use a lawyer who is spiritually minded to put together a 'building plan' from that which is revealed to us from God in the scriptures. Listen to all those (no matter who you are) who can contribute to this project, put it all together and start building. The time is extremely short, so how about it?
Maybe we can reach those we love the most, our families? But if not, so be it. It is only those that have 'entered the Ark' that were saved at Noah’s time. No one will be forced in, or kept in by some devious (monetary) reason, but will come in on their own will, drawn by ‘believing’ that there is a terrible day coming on this world (like the flood with Noah).
