Hi there,
My 7 month old daughter is scheduled to have her soft palate repair surgery in a month and I'm a bit apprehensive about her sleeping afterwards. She always used a pacifier to fall asleep, but we weaned her off of it using a little stuffed bunny for her to snuggle. Unfortunately due to her tendency to put the bunny in her mouth when she sleeps, the doctor has told us not to give it to her after the surgery. Anyone have any experience with (or suggestions for) getting the kiddos to sleep after surgery if they are used to having something in their mouth?
Your thoughts greatly appreciated!! (I sat down to write this after trying VERY unsuccessfully to get the little girl to sleep...)
