When my daughter was a baby, we adjusted her crib so that one end of it was higher than the other- you know how you can raise the part that holds the mattress? We just put one end on a higher setting than the other, so her mattress was angled and that worked. As for feedings, we had her eat as much as she could on her own but finished the feeding with a feeding pump- we were also told not to make her eat for more than half an hour or it would wear her out and burn up more calories than she was taking in. It still took an hour to feed her, between the bottle and the feeding pump, but at least she wasn't wearing herself out and she was getting a full feeding. We also did gavage feeding for a while before they gave us the feeding pump but the feeding pump was much easier.
