MY SON HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.. I DECIDED TO STOP USING THE VALVE. HE BEGAN SPEECH THEROPY AND BEGAN LEARNING SIGN LANGUAGE. REMARKABLY WHILE LEARNING THE SIGNS HE BEGAN TO SAY THE WORDS AND HE DID SO WITHOUT THE VALVE. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY IF HE IS STRONG ENOUGH TO POP IT OF WHIT HIS BREATH WHEN HE IS READY YOU WILL KNOW... WE COULD ACTUALLY HEAR THE WORDS COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH... I WISH YOUR FAMILY GOOD LUCK AND JUST REMEMBER HE IS STRONG JUST KEEP ENCOURAGING HIM AND HE WILL SURPRISE YOU.... NICOLE
